It sounds like tiny piece of broken glass or plastic rattling around inside a plastic cup. To make matters worse, my biggest complaint prior to this one is that there is a rattle in this car that makes me go crazy - it comes and goes with no apparent cause. This problem is way beyond the dealership because it's a software problem. Dealership know that telling me to live with this is NOT going to work - I am a musician and not being able to use that USB port is a deal breaker for me. I take home the Accord and I am now going to wait and see what Honda corp says about this. I wait while they decide to try another CRV and YIKES - THEY ALL SKIP. Bottom line is the music only skips in my car. If it doesn't skip, then we'll see if this new one skips in my CRV when I get there. I would create another jump drive and listen to it in the Accord. Go find the tech from Monday who said his jump drive skipped. End of day they call me and tell me that Honda corp said it's my jump drive. The next day they tell me that they are still working on it. This will really be a problem when I try and listen to a book!!! When the service tech's jump drive skipped in my car, they asked me to leave the car - gave me an Accord loaner and said they would get on the phone with Honda corp. Also note that when the directory(s) displays, the songs are not necessarily in order. However, if I put that same jump drive in a computer or in another car and it works fine. It's been like this from day one, but I thought it was just a bad jump drive until I tried three others, all with the same results. It has less than 5000 miles on it and it is in the shop now because the music on any jump drive I use skips. Once you have all of your albums in the staging folder then do a select all & Copy to the USB Drive, this is important to make sure that your songs are copied alphabetically if you don’t do it this in the CRV USB interface your music will not be alphabetical order. 09:12 PM Allman Brothers - A Decade Of Hits 11:36 PM Alice Cooper - The Best of Alice Coo On my PC I made a staging folder & put all my music in it, you should not have any more than 1 folder deep for each artist album with the MP3 files for that CD in it.Īrtist Name – Album Title (for the folder Name)Įxample:02 (from DOS Prompt using DIR command) įor the folder hierarchy on your USB Stick I noticed that the USB sorts by date and not alphabetically (this is characteristics of DOS operating system). Size limitation is 16GB stick, if you use 16GB you will need to partition the stick so it is a little under 16GB in size, I partitioned mine for 15GB using this tool.
